One of my goals this year was to start a newsletter. I’ve been brainstorming and researching this idea for a while now, but last month was the time to actually do it! I just forgot to mention it here, haha. Why a newsletter? Isn’t that old-fashioned? The main reason is that I have much more direct contact with people than any social media platform can give me. With a newsletter I don’t have to worry about changing algorithms that make my posts less visible. Email is also decentralized: it doesn't matter which email provider I'm using, I can always reach you on your address. Social media platforms have come and gone, but email is still going strong after 51 years. Granted, you will have to trust me with your email address, but unsubscribing is as easy as unfollowing me. :) What can I expect? A monthly update in your mailbox with what I’ve been working on that month, along with interesting things I have been reading, watching or just found on the internet. On social media the

blows the dust from the table So far being more active this year, huh? Well, I think nobody's 2020 went as planned! I wasn't active at all here on DeviantArt. The last few years I've always felt like I only came back for Inktober, but looking at the last pieces I've uploaded that's not completely true. :D I think I should stop fighting the urge to try and keep up all social media accounts - I've struggled with this for years and I still haven't found a way to deal with it comfortably. It feels saddening to not be very active on this site anymore, but a lot of people I followed dearly have moved to other platforms too.
